transparent (adj.): allowing light to pass through so that objects behind can be distinctly seen
TrulyTransparent was launched in June 2014 by Mika Billins. She started this blog with the hopes of encouraging others while encouraging herself. In June 2014, Mika experienced the love of Christ in way that she has never experienced love before and rededicated her life to Him. She is an advocate for journaling and believes that writing provides healing and clarity. TrulyTransparent is her public journal, as she journeys through life as a follower of Christ.
By sharing my stories and revelations from God, I pray that I am able to bless and encourage my sisters-in-Christ. The words I share are not from my own thoughts and opinions, but from the words God has given to me. My prayer is that the young women who read my blog know that they are not alone in the struggles and adversities they face. Our backgrounds and our lives may be different, but our longing to be loved, healed, and free is what makes us the same. I am fully aware of my imperfections, and I strive to be the best me I can be in Him. I am not a perfect person. I am not a perfect Christian. But, I am loved by a perfect God, and I have been saved by His perfect Son.
My life goal is to keep God at the head of my life and in the center of my relationships. My heart’s desire is to encourage others in the things that seem impossible and remind them that anything is possible with God.
